Alexander L. Jensen

Welcome!  I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Politics, Security, & International Affairs (SPSIA) at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL.

I study the drivers of people’s political attitudes and how researchers can design surveys to measure them more accurately. I often use experimental and interpretive methods in my work to examine how identity, belief systems, and social context shape the way people think about politics — and to test whether the questions we ask capture those attitudes faithfully. At UCF, I teach a variety of classes in the subfields of American politics and quantitative methodology.

You can find out more about my research and teaching by checking out the tabs on this website.  Feel free to contact me at alex.jensen@ucf.edu with any questions or to request copies of my work.  Thanks for visiting!
